With her fire-truck red hair, powerful vocals, edgy attitude and real life experiences, Hayley Williams shows musical artists are real people who have a story to tell.
Last week, VH1 aired the final episode of “The 100 Greatest Women in Music,” naming 23-year-old Williams No. 77 on the list.
Williams, front woman of the punk band Paramore, has been faced with successes, struggles and revelations that make her into a powerful woman of music at such a young age
.           Williams appeared in a testimonial on YouTube in 2010. In the video, Williams addressed topics such as drinking and faith.

She confessed that she lived a very blessed life and did not think that she had been through a lot of hardships. Despite Williams' confidence, through her life she dealt with three different divorces of her parents and the loss of friends to the misfortune of drunk driving.

The Dixie Chicks lead singer, Natalie Maines, negatively commented on country star Jason Aldean’s Grammy performance this weekend, upsetting fans.
This is not the first time Maines stirred up negative responses with her fans.  This is beginning to look like a reoccurring offense with Maines.
During Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson’s performance of their hit single “Don’t You Wanna Stay?” Aldean’s mic went out. Maines posted her thoughts on her Twitter soon after.
“Well the good thing about his mic going out is suddenly the song got a lot more in tune,” tweeted Maines.
Maines later said on her Twitter that she did not know who the guy singing was but to her, he was not in tune.
“By ‘he’ I mean whoever the guy was singing with Kelly Clarkson,” posted Maines.

Valentine’s Day, What Happened to the Romance?

Remember the days of elementary school? Waking up early to get dressed ever so nicely for Valentine’s Day? The day where boys would bring out their brightest red sweaters and girls would wear their pretty pink dresses and with the help of mom, maybe a pink bow in their hair to add a special touch.
Remember a time of picking out the coolest Valentines and decorating the coolest desk bag?
When we were kids, Valentine’s Day brought such magic and curiosity. We never really knew what exactly it meant, but we did know that that day would be the day when our crushes would be “romantic,” and we would float around recess for the rest of the day.
What was it that made that day so magical? Did we ever really know what romance truly was?

Madonna Performing at Super Bowl Half-Time Show….Timeout

“Ewwww! Really?”
That’s the reaction people get when they hear that Madonna will be performing at Super Bowl XLVI half-time show with other musical guests M.I.A, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj and LMFAO combined with a performance by Cirque du Soleil.
Together these artists cover a variety of music tastes. However, is this variety even appealing to viewers?
It’s like the idea of mixing all of your favorite candy into one bowl. The idea sounds great but the result is not as sweet.
Last year approximately 111 million people watched the Super Bowl. However, are the advertisers of Super Bowl telecasts reaching their target audience with the half-time show?
According to Sports Business Daily, the highest percent of people that watched the Super Bowl for the half-time show was the age group of 55 and up.
If advertiser’s desired audiences are not being reached, then why do they continue to pour so much money and time into this event?
The wardrobe malfunction with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake added a little life to the half-time show in 2004.
