Deceased Music Legends Being Created in Hologram Form

Jimi Hendrix/Photo Credit: guitar-licks-n-tricks.com
Picture this; you are standing in front of a stage.

You start to feel the bass in your stomach, the smooth and sexy voice of the electric guitar starts to flow through your soul, sending chills up your spine as you watch Jimi Hendrix.

He begins to play your favorite song, “Voodoo Child,” a performance you've only heard on your parent’s dusty old vinyl that gathers dust in their basement or seen on the YouTube videos you watch all day at work.

Seem like a distant dream? Not quite.

Jimi Hendrix.

 Jim Morrison.

Janis Joplin.

They aren't strangers to people of music, they're legends.

These names define entire genres of music and continue to do so from the grave.

However, it seems as though these legends will be making their own appearances once again.

Jason Aldean Reaches Out to Boy with Cancer

Seven-year old Tyson Zimmer is dying of brain cancer.
Country star Jason Aldean, being a father of two girls, knows how much a child means to the world.
Zimmer, being a huge Aldean fan, told Nebraska news station, KOLN-TV, that he sings Aldean’s song, “Big Green Tractor” because it is his favorite.
The boy’s family and friends came together joining in a Twitter campaign to get Aldean to send the sick boy a video message.
                Aldean did more than that.
After sending Zimmer a video message thanking him for being a fan, he told him to get better and invited  him and his family out to meet him at a show, he also sent along autographed posters, albums and four backstage passes for him and his family.
The family also received a trip to Disney World by the Make-A-Wish-Foundation.
When they return, the family plans on going out to Illinois to meet and see Aldean in May.
However, now the family is trying to raise enough money to get there.
If you would like to help the Zimmer family with their expenses for the trip you can send an email to tysonsfightagainstcancer@gmail.com to purchase a $5 Tyson wristband reading, “Say~Fight~Cure.”
The idea was produced by the local radio station Froggy 98.

2Pac Hologram Performance Opens Doors in Music World

Photo Credit: http://cdn.psfk.com/ Photo of Hologram on right
Tupac Shakur, American rapper, was shot and killed in 1996.
Tupac Shakur performed at Coachella festival in 2012.
Last weekend, at the Coachella Music Festival in southern California, fans were astonished as they watched Shakur perform with fellow rappers Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
What seemed like a miracle and perhaps the answer to fans prayers was merely a hologram of Shakur.
Shakur appeared on the stage with detail so real it was hard for fans to process.
The hologram showed every piece of Shakur from his abs to his tattoo bearing, “Thug life.”
Shakur reached to the sky and his fans screaming out to his fellow rappers Dre and Snoop, whom answered back as if he was the real thing.
Seconds later Shakur addressed the fans themselves and the concert screaming, “What is up Coachella?” A personalized shout out to fans from 2Pac, enough to give fans goosebumps.

The Ready Set Gets Crowd Going, Breathe Carolina Falls Short

What do you get when you crunch up garlic Ritz crackers and combine them with Velveeta macaroni and cheese?  Nothing other than a popular piece of tour food for Breathe Carolina, add the chicken burritos being made by The Ready Set and it’s like a restaurant on wheels.
In a recent interview with both bands, a discussion of tour food became a big one.
“I get like black beans, rice and some chicken and guacamole and I’ve been making really awesome burritos lately,” said Jordan Witzigreuter, the solo vocalist from the indie-pop band, The Ready Set.
“You have to be creative with the microwave,” said Kyle Even, a vocalist in the electronic-rock band, Breathe Carolina.
“You get Ritz crackers and put them all over the plate, cover the Ritz in shredded cheese and then pour the Mac n Cheese all over the crackers,” said Even.
The discussion took a turn when the chain fast food restaurant, Chick-Fill-A was brought up.
From there was a discussion about the spicy chicken sandwich that I should be trying if I ever find one of these places.
The two bands drove down to St. Bonaventure University on Thursday, April 12, 2012 to perform in the on campus bar, The Rathskellar.
With it being not a very large venue, it was interesting to see the excitement in the artists when the saw the space they would be working with.

March Madness is well-known for basketball brackets and games.  MTV has a different idea in mind for March Madness with the Musical March Madness.
MTV shows a large bracket on their website that shows multiple bands and artists who are teamed up against one another and it is up to the public to vote on who will win the battle.
The bracket is set up the same as in basketball. You vote for the one you like the most, the winner moves on to the next round and battle the other winner of the round. This battle method continues until there is one final winner.
The competition started with 64 different bands, split them into four regions and gave the, seeds.  The bands and artists going head to head go all the way from Metallica and Coheed and Cambria to Maroon 5 and Dave Matthews Band.
There are currently eight head to head battles remaining at http://www.mtv.com/content/news/2012/musical_march_madness_2012/

Juliet Simms, with her ripped jean vest and tattoos, walks onto the stage of The Voice blind auditions belting out the rough vocal of “Oh Darling” by The Beatles.
With her scratchy voice and edginess it did not take long before three well known artists turned their chairs around to have Simms on their team, however to the public, Simms has a familiar face.
Simms, being front woman for the rock band Automatic Loveletter, formed back in 2007 while Simms also performed in solo tours.
Automatic Loveletter released; three albums, one digital EP, 36 singles and performed on three major tours including; Bamboozle, Bamboozle Left and Warped Tour.
Simms has also appeared in songs with other bands like Secondhand Serenade, Every Avenue and All Time Low.
Simms now holds the spot as a tough competitor on The Voice.
